Site list available (see source documents)
Bedford Borough Council seeks a single Charge Point Operator for a 15-year 'full turnkey' on-street charging network delivering minimum 512 sockets across the borough. The £56.64M contract combines £1.01M council subsidy for 256 required sockets with operator private funding for additional 256+ sockets.
This represents a significant long-term CPO concession opportunity in the East of England, requiring substantial private investment to match council funding. The 15-year term and minimum 512 socket requirement signals Bedford's commitment to comprehensive on-street charging infrastructure for residents without off-street parking, making this strategically important for CPOs seeking to establish regional presence.
