On behalf of the Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime (MOPAC), the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has a requirement for Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and seeks feedback from suppliers as part of a market research exercise as notified within the PIN. The MPS aspires to install 600 charging points across numerous sites on our estate by 2025. The anticipated future estate will comprise of circa 150 buildings, with 80 of those with onsite generation. We also have numerous stations that have dedicated Police parking bays outside the premises in public areas where charging points could also be installed. Additional information: The MPS may access an existing Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Solutions Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) agreement (reference RM6213), let and run by Crown Commercial Services (CCS). The MPS will use the DPS filtering tool as a mechanism to ascertain a list of capable suppliers (who are already on the DPS) and create an export list in order to conduct a further competition.
