Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is conducting market engagement for a £6M solar PV canopy and EV charging hub at Drummond Street Car Park on a concession basis. This RFI seeks supplier input on project structure and viability ahead of a formal procurement.
This represents a significant opportunity for EV charging operators to secure a long-term concession contract (£5M element) for a solar-integrated charging hub in Rotherham town centre. The market engagement phase allows suppliers to influence the final procurement structure and technical requirements before formal tendering begins.
