Description
Slough Borough Council (SBC) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified operators for the provision of a network of EV Charging infrastructure. The Council is seeking to enter into long-term (15+1) concessionary-based contracts with ChargePoint Operators (CPOs) to design, install, manage, maintain, and where appropriate replace or dispose of, EV charging infrastructure across the town.
The lots for this procurement are split based on the power of chargepoint, as per the Specifications:
o Lot 1 is for a minimum of 1600 Standard AC (<8kW) Charge points sockets
o Lot 2 is for Fast AC and Rapid/ Ultra-Rapid DC (>8kW) Charge points

Funding Description
Provision of the network will be supported by the Council's LEVI Capital Fund grant of £2.233m, which aims to accelerate delivery of charging infrastructure for residents without off-street parking. The Council will be committing a fixed amount of the LEVI capital grant funding into Lot 1. Providers must ensure their solution meets the overall LEVI Scheme's and Council's strategic objectives, represents value for money by maximising use of the LEVI subsidy and gives Customers the best charging offer, on an equitable basis across the town. A small amount of LEVI grant funding, the Council's Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Taxi Scheme grant, and electric vehicle charging Section 106 Developer Contributions will be available to support Lot 2. The successful Providers will be entitled to income generated throughout the contract due to a revenue share agreement.
