This involves real-time control of DER including DG but also emerging functions such as management of energy storage, demand response, electrical vehicle charging infrastructures and controllable network assets. The ANM will be required to optimise multiple parameters including commercial parameters such as real-pricing of flexible resources. The ANM will need to coordinate with various internal and external systems including the Electricity System Operator to manage conflicts and enable the whole system optimisation. Key Requirements: The technology must already be proven to Technology Readiness Level 8 or 9. UKPN requires a working solution by Q3 2018. The solution must comply with all relevant industry standards (For e.g IEC standards). Bidders must be able to provide physical presence of relevant technical teams at UKPN premises during the design and delivery phase.
